Christ in Me Sets Me Free

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? - 1 Corinthians 3:16

As the title of the post “Obedience in Detail to the Blueprint” suggest, Moses communicated how to carry out the work of constructing the tabernacle just as the Lord commanded.

Within the tabernacle was where the Spirit of God resided during the time of Moses. Because Christ was the ultimate sacrifice for sin, today the Spirit of God lives in all who accept Christ as Savior just as laid out in God’s plan for us.

Take inspiration from today’s video Christ in Me by Jeremy Camp. This day, run free into an unending ocean of mercy. Let the world see that you are free as you shine the light and give a spark that lights up a sometimes dark world.

Indescribable and Uncontainable

Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with men is possible with God. - Luke 18:27

The main point for me as brought out in the post, “Seeing and Believing” is that we should be ready to meet God for direction each day just like Moses did when he went up on Mount Sinai for we serve an amazing all powerful God who is indescribable and uncontainable.

Our prayers will be heard as we are connected by accepting our Savior. One small step changes everything and our first step of accepting Jesus gives us a tremendous resource in the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will guide us to an amazing journey as we step ahead fearlessly. Amazing things will happen because the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life will lift us to new heights.

Each day can be amazing because with the Lord, you can passionately believe in what you are doing, let nothing hold you up in your work and have faith that one day at a time the impossible will become possible. Watch the video Indescribable by Chris Tomlin to inspire you this day with God.

Results of Kindness

Moses was helped early in life to survive. The king of Egypt was threatened by the Hebrew people whose population was growing in a nation that forced them to work as servants. Pharaoh had ordered every Hebrew male child born be put to death so the parents of Moses put him in a basket in the Nile River. Because of Pharaoh’s daughter and her kindness, Moses was able to be raised within the palace as the son of the princes.

Later in life, Moses returned an act of kindness to some Midian women when he came to their rescue while they were trying to water their father’s flock. Let us remember the results of being kind to others. What we make happen for others will be given back to us so when we give a smile, a smile will be given back. When we act kind, we receive kindness from others.

This day with God, remember the kind gift of His Son: Kindness – Todd Agnew.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. - Ephesians 4:32

Commitment to Spiritual Growth

The actions of today can have long-term, far-reaching implications in our living for the future. Below are a few actions we can take that effect our future in a positive way:

·         Be decisive and accept Christ as Savior
·         Stay focused on His ways
·         Write out plans or a road map for spiritual growth
·         Take the steps needed to get to where you want to go
·         Take a look at the roadmap of your journey to measure how you are doing and where you are at
·         Involve others who will hold you accountable and help you maintain integrity
·         Learn from mistakes that get you off track
·         Take corrective action that will get you back on track when needed
·         Make it interesting, fun, and rewarding as you reach the destination

Here is an inspirational video as we seek to be committed to spiritual growth: Lead Me to the Cross – Hillsongs.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. - Proverbs 16:3

Desire the Things of God

Desire the things of God;
Ask Him to lend a hand;
Desire to invest in others;
Make His Word known firsthand.

Draw Him close to them;
Desire to share the joy of free will;
Help them know He is near;
Share with them victory’s thrill.

May He grant your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! – Psalm 20:4

Reaching New Heights

Reading in 2 Chronicles 19 and writing some thoughts yesterday, I noted that Jehoshaphat reformed the system of justice as he appointed judges of integrity. Justice, fairness, consideration, and cooperation shape societies of integrity for a future that reaches new heights.

I remember once when my daughter was in Kindergarten and they invited all Dads over for a few hours of flying kites. We went out into a field beside the school. In short time, I looked over and many could get their kites to fly but ours struggled. Then I looked at our kite and noticed the part that holds the wings together was not secure; the part that is in the shape of a cross. Once I secured this part of the kite, it immediately was lifted and flew high.

This day with God, I would like to say to you my friends that the part that holds us together is the Cross. Because of Christ dying on the Cross, we are lifted higher. Like the part of the kite in the shape of a cross, the integrity of the Cross secures all sides together and allows the power of the Holy Spirit to lift to new heights.
