Overflowing with the Glory

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. - 2 Corinthians 4:15-16

As shared in the post “Sweet to Your Soul”, honey taste sweet and like honey wisdom is sweet to your soul. The objective then is to accept God’s grace and get filled up with wisdom. Then your soul will be filled with a rare and beautiful treasure that continues to grow in value. Each day we are the beneficiary of the past and have more wisdom to share with others.

You may never know what impact you have on others.  My dad was a high school teacher and coach for many years. One athlete wrote the following true story about my dad on facebook.

It has always been inspiring to hear dad passing along to us about those he has taught and coached. The achievements of his students not only as star athletes but also as student athletes that graduate and go on to flourish in life are very inspiring.

Not everyone is rewarded here on earth with knowledge of the impact you have on others but we all have the opportunity to someday be rewarded beyond our wildest dreams. Take inspiration from the song Home by Chris Tomlin. When we go to our eternal home, every fear will be gone, streets will be golden, and every chain will be broken.

Ability with Humility

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. - Matthew 23:12

There are times when we have no control over things and the only ability we have is to go to God in prayer and humbly receive the power only He can give. Those we lead make messes and we clean them up only to be pulled back into their messes again. During it all, the thing we must do is keep calm, care for them, and keep shining the light.

In the post “Qualities of Leadership Found in Moses”, we find that Moses continued to mediate for his people and was patient with them even when they didn’t deserve it. Take inspiration from this song "Come As You Are by Crowder". Let us see hope for the hopeless because all who believe in Christ are precious in God’s sight. They can come as they are and fall in His arms.

Perfect in all of Your Ways

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. - Proverbs 3:5-6

A moving target makes success very unlikely. What if the bases where never in the same place in baseball and we didn’t know where first base was or where second base was?  There wouldn’t be a chance to get to home base and not many runs would be scored would they?

Unfortunately, we constantly receive conflicting information in this game of life.

Just as it is important to know where the bases are in a baseball game to win, it’s even more important to know the rules in life. Fortunately, we have God’s Word as our rule book.

So this day, work together with fellow believers and build up the kingdom. Know the most important rule is that you are loved by God because of accepting His Son as Savior. Receive inspiration from today’s video: Good, Good Father – Chris Tomlin.

Victory Assured

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. - 1 John 5:4

The world constantly tries to keep us in a state of turmoil and unrest. To step ahead, take in God's Word to fortify. Remain optimistic because God is big enough to provide the poise we need to think through each situation. As explained in the post “Step Ahead with Poise”, God is working behind the scenes to set things up for our benefit because we are highly favored by our Creator.

The world has a way of making us feel like we are lacking. I'm not skilled at that or I'm too slow. I just don't catch on to that new concept like others do. If thoughts like this come to mind, remember that with God there is no need to get stressed out. He's big enough to make up the difference and provide that extra push to finish in victory.

In the scripture at the beginning of this post, we are told of God’s plan for us. This is a plan for victory that is carried out by going to Him in prayer, accepting Christ as Savior, and being washed of sin. Our new birth is the victory assured and is also highlighted in this video: The River – Jordan Felizhttps://youtu.be/6dM0ZNoa6kU.

Leadership Is Not A Popularity Contest

Written about in the post The Trial of Jesus, we get a lesson in leadership. Jesus demonstrates leadership with poise, courage, and strength. On the other hand, Pilot and Herod demonstrated poor leadership skills. They couldn’t make a decision because they lacked the courage to stand up and do what was right.

With God, we can be assured of a promising future and this gives us confidence to face our challenges with confidence. We know that He is faithful. He is like a mountain; standing rock solid over time and protecting us in our time of need. We can take courage, for God is there for us. Today’s inspirational video highlights these thoughts: Whom Shall I Fear – Chris Tomlin.

The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? – Psalm 27:1

Ideas To Deal With The Stuff In Life

Written about in the post “Overcoming the Pressures of Life” was how Jesus went through the pressures of life on earth by praying and submitted to the purpose for which God had sent Him which was to die for our sins. In the Garden of Gethsemane, sweat was falling from Him like drops of blood to the ground. We may not face this type of pressure but we face stuff in life that can get to us. Maybe it’s trying to meet impossible deadlines at work, maybe it’s a health issue, or a relationship that’s not working out.

What can we do to deal with these challenges we face? Some ideas might include keeping positive, praying, planning out each step, and taking action with faith that God will provide the resources needed to get through anything. Another idea might be to set out each day to memorize scripture and try to internalize them so they can be used in time of need. With the Word of God internalized, we have more poise in stressful situations like talking in front of an audience or taking an exam or going through a medical procedure.

Each day has its challenges and that’s why we want to seek God first thing to help us take on these challenge the best we can. Today’s video is about this stuff of life: how God can use these moments to help us appreciate that maybe our stuff is not as bad as we think and we can step ahead with faith: This is the Stuff – Francesca Battistelli.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. - 2 Corinthians 12:10

He Lives in Our Heart

Where would we be without God? Because of our Savior, God lives in our heart. We have poise to face the challenges of life. Just like in the post “The Coming King”, Jesus demonstrates the poise needed to fulfill His purpose.

In what ways does a definite purpose give you courage to face opposition and fulfill the purpose God has for you? With God’s purpose for you in your life, you know what the will of God is and you are ready to take on a little resistance to accomplish the mission. Take inspiration from this video as you fulfill the purpose God has for you today: Me Without You – TobyMac.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. – Mark 1:35

Like Jesus did as written in the scripture above, pray about your purpose today.
