Freed

Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. – Mark 11:23

Some great lessons are learned after studying Joshua 3. As shared in the post, “How Amazing is God”, with Him on our side, things will be set up to make the impossible possible. What is difficult for us, is easy for God. The gift of Christ on the Cross has freed us so we are not held back and like this song by Jesus Culture, we can Break Every Chain.

Knowing Whose Side to Be On

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

Studying and sharing in the post “Assistance to Go the Distance”, Rahab knew whose side to be on and she helped the men of Joshua as they gathered intelligence. Even though she had a suspect past, God was for her and she was used by God to fulfill His purpose. She received God’s grace and listened to the right people. We all need God's grace as we continue along lives journey. Once received, we can gain wisdom to live the way life is meant to be lived.

This day with God, accept the fact that God thinks you are AWESOME! You can use the skills you have, be happy with who you are, and let God work out the rest. Receive inspiration for a great day from today’s video: The Way – Jeremy Camp.

Our Glorious Destination

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

The post, “Obedience and Achievement” has some thoughts about the benefits of knowing and applying God’s Word. If we take on challenges along the journey of life one day at a time using God’s Word, we will find our glorious destination.

Let us know the plan and carry it out on a daily basis. Let us pray for direction each day as we daily work to fine tune and improve. Then every challenge will become possible.

There is freedom in obeying God’s way because He cares for us more than we care for ourselves. Let’s start our day with this inspiring song called One Day at a Time by Jeremy Camp. God understands our needs more than we do so let’s accept His guidance as we journey through life one day at a time.

Never Tire of Doing What is Good

And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good. – 2 Thessalonians 3:13

Sharing some thoughts in the post “Leading by Example”, the main problem discussed was idleness. Paul emphasized being an example to others by getting involved, being industrious, and working hard.

These same principles were adopted by the founding fathers of the United States. As the post 4th of July from the blog altruisticao points out, the founding fathers grasped the understanding that it was through liberty, the kind of liberty they had learned through the Bible and the teaching of Jesus Christ, that mankind would be happy and prosperous.

As it is with individuals and with nations, we can become broken and as the song Keep Making Me – Sidewalk Prophets inspires, there is always the need to be remade. In the process, let us never tire of doing what is good.

Faith for Every Moment of Every Day

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. - Colossians 2:6-7

As crystalized in the post “Living Out the Truth”, the hardest part of a faith journey is to live out our faith in our daily lives. Let us be grateful today that a sustaining faith is possible if there is a connection to the Vine. A connection to the Vine gives us what is needed to not only believe in the Gospel message but to share about God’s reliable principles that have persevered throughout history.

This day with God, benefit yourself and also lead others to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit by first believing in the Truth and then living it out on a daily basis. Here is today’s video to inspire: Walk by Faith – Jeremy Camp.

Stand Firm and Hold Fast to the Teachings

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. – 2 Thessalonians 2:15

The thoughts brought out in the post “Learn and Apply the Principles” were inspired by the study of Paul teaching the Thessalonians. We not only have the advantage of history to look back on but can now read what is stated in the Bible and know it has come about.

Even in the area of science, what was written in the Bible has come to pass. Areas such as dealing with stars, the ocean, and how the earth is shaped. What was not known by humanity at the time the words were written have since been proven to be true.

Cheer up today and receive this inspirational video Solid as the Rock by Avalon and know that the truths found in the Bible are indeed solid as a rock.

Go After What is Most Important

We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:10

Shared in the post “Make Perplexities and Confusions into Amazing results and Conclusions”, Paul prayed for the Thessalonians as they faced complex issues in their day.

Although the issues may be different, we also face complexities today. The great benefit of technology is to simplify task so we can spend more time doing the things that are most important in life.

But the challenge is to balance everything so that the most important task are accomplished. Therefore, there is a great need to study our priorities; go after what is most important and then like the domino effect, our items on the task list start to fall one after another.

This day will be amazing because of who God is and who you are; an important name in history – one of His children. To get on the right track toward those important tasks today, here is an inspirational video: How You Live – Point of Grace.

Focus on what is Truly Important in Life

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. - Colossians 3:2

Most of the time, we may go through life always in a hurry rather than slowing down and taking in spiritual thoughts. Instead, we can take some time to think about how amazing God has made this world. We can take in a brilliant sunrise or beautiful sunset and bathe in the warmth of His sunshine.

In the post “Constant Attitude of Watching and Waiting”, some specific directions were given by Paul to constantly be alert, self-controlled, and prepared for the Lord’s return.

As you begin this day, here is a video to inspire in you this need to focus on what is truly important in life: Christ in Me – Jeremy Camp.
