No Confusion

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. - Mark 1:35

As brought out in the post “Purpose in Saving Each of Us”, being a leader within our families and those we see the most gives us an opportunity to spread the Good News and give glory to God.

Jesus prayed for direction in fulfilling His purpose. We can do the same each morning as we start the day. He will help us to put things in order and then like the domino effect, our items on our task list will start to fall one after another.

We can be confused at times but when we pray, we get direction so as in this song, Thy Will be Done by Hillary Scott & Family we can know that God has placed us in our present circumstances for a reason.

Call Upon His Name

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. - Psalm 145:18

With faith, we can be like Paul as written about in the post “Continue to Cleave to the ONE You Believe” and have confidence in what we believe. There is no fear of mistakes because with God and by accepting the gift of Christ, we receive the peace of knowing we have a clean slate.

Like in the song "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) by Hillsong United", we can go deeper and walk upon on the waters where our faith is made stronger and stronger. Because we are always in the presence of our Savior, we can trust without borders. God can move mountains and part the waters so we can walk through every difficulty. This day, let us call upon His name with trust in the solid foundation of the Gospel. Following His plan always leads to victory.

Always Hope

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. – Romans 8:25

In the post “On this Journey to a Brighter Day”, written about was how Joshua reviews Israel’s history, he emphasizes how God was involved in bringing them from the land of oppression to the Promised Land.

There is always hope for a brighter day when we are with God and He is with us. That is why we should always examine our hopes and dreams and let God take them to a level that we never dreamed. Even if faced with dark times, His light will illuminate the path to a brighter future.

Like Joshua, let us determine the purpose God has for us, let us carry out this purpose, and finish well. When we serve the Lord, there is always hope for a brighter future just like in this song: Chain Breaker by Zach Williams.

Ideas for Gaining Daily Victories

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. – Philippians 4:13

The lesson as laid out in the post “The ONE Who Won” was that the Lord fights for you. With Him, you can do so much more. He prepares a path for you by driving out obstacles in your way so love the Lord your God and step ahead.

Sometimes the greatest competition we face is within our own mind. We may have a major deadline at work or a major payment due. Our mind may keep telling us, “It’s too difficult … I can’t do this” but because of God we can have confidence to tell our mind, “Yes I can”.

One idea is to memorize scripture like the one at the top of this post when faced with pressure situations in life. Another idea may be to listen to music for inspiration. God has fought over the years for His people and He fights for you today.

The greatest historical victory ever was His Son Jesus Christ who died for all. Grace wins all the time to allow you to rise up to victory on a daily basis. Take a few minutes to be inspired by this song Grace Wins by Matthew West  because the victory is for all who belong to Christ Jesus.

Accept One Another Just as Christ Accepted You

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. - Romans 15:7

We all have different strengths and weaknesses but God has made us all for a purpose so let us celebrate our diversity and understand each other.  According to Guinness World Records, the tallest man living is 8 ft. 3 inches. The shortest man living is 2 feet tall. A startling comparison is that if humans varied as much in height as dogs do, the smallest person would be 2 feet tall and the tallest person would stand 31 feet tall!

One thought from the post “Understanding Each Other” was that one group assumed another built an altar to rebel against God but after talking, they understood it was built to worship Him. Many times, we may not know the whole story but then are given the full picture. We then understand and can accept the actions of others.

As pointed out in the song Losing by Tenth Avenue North, we may feel like the one losing unless we appreciate God’s grace and accept one another just as Christ has accepted you.

Notes to Your Younger Self

The Lord gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. – Joshua 21:43

As brought out in the post “Follow Instructions”, God is continually requiring His people to follow instructions and when they follow, He is faithful to fulfill His promises just as in the scripture at the top of this post.

As His people, we sometimes get complacent and instead of continually seeking His excellence, we give in to the negatives promoted by the enemy. Everyone needs God's grace and once received, one can gain wisdom to live the way life is meant to be lived.

Take some time to look back on life and write notes to your younger self. Here’s a video to inspire: Dear Younger Me by MercyMe. Take these notes to not only help provide a brighter path for your own future but to share with others so their future path is much brighter too!

Accepting The Ultimate Gift

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20

From the post “Joyfully Take Possession of What God has Given” written about were some lessons in seizing every opportunity to accept and use the gifts God has given. The Israelites were given land as an inheritance. We may not receive land but we are given the Holy Spirit if we accept Christ in our heart. We can then use our talents and ideas to glorify God.

If tempted to hold back, have the attitude of ownership in all that you do because God has given the ultimate gift in Christ. The scripture above and the song Proof of Your Love – For King & Country reminds us that the love that flows in us flows freely without any inhibitions.

Keep Your Eye on the Ultimate Reward

Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. - Revelation 22:12

In the post “Following God Wholeheartedly” were some thoughts about Caleb as his reward was finally being realized after 45 years. Sometimes, we may feel that all our hard work will never be rewarded. We may have some good days in our work then one set back seems to destroy our progress.

Making a comeback after a setback by keeping at it always is more rewarding and much more fulfilling. So today my friend, keep your eye on the prize and suddenly the breaks will start going your way. Many times, we get way too uptight about things. Let it keep on going forward and trust that everything will work out if we just do God’s will.

With God, we can sincerely believe that each obstacle will be overcome and enthusiastically act upon each task until completion; celebrating progress throughout each day by praising Him. Here’s today’s video to get us going: O Praise Him – David Crowder Band.
