Consistent Assistance

This day with God will be amazing as we put consistent assistance into practice just as explained in the post Discourse on the Divine Resource about the Holy Spirit; the divine resource of instruction and empowerment to assist in living a reinvigorated life of firm witness of Christ.

God will bless those who seek His advice and follow through on His guidance. They will be prepared, take action, and are assured of a bright future because the Holy Spirit will be there to assist at work, at home, and wherever they are.

Enjoy today’s inspiring video: As it is in Heaven – Matt Maher.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God. - Romans 8:26-27

His Word is Golden

And the words of the Lord are flawless,
Like silver purified in a crucible,
Like gold refined seven times.  – Psalm 12:6

As explained in the post Rely on God’s Word, the instructions we get from the world many times no longer work or maybe never did work. On the other hand, the instructions we find in God’s Word are golden; always perfect with instructions on how to live.

God’s words are golden and the words we use are also very valuable and powerful. Today’s video is about how important words are as they can build up or tear down or lead others to God: Words – Hawk Nelson.

Your words have supported those who stumbled; you have strengthened faltering knees. - Job 4:4

Each Day Can Be Amazing Because of Our Savior

Our days can look bleak just like they did in the post Refuge in the Deluge but each day can be amazing because of our Savior and our growing faith can never be taken away or depleted. The gospel message has a beautiful and refreshing simplicity about it that sets us free and never let us down

It’s much easier living in God’s light, trusting in His promises, and using His resources. With God, it’s like running with the wind at your back. He knows our needs and gives us that extra push to the finish line.

Enjoy today’s inspiring video: He Knows – Jeremy Camp.

The Most Important Activity

Life is not easy and can hit right in the face. Sometimes we want to correct the problems our own way but it just will not work. David had issues in life as written about in the post “Eyes on Him as we Arise and Shine”. Then, he prayed for God to help and immediately felt confident that God would arise.

We all have a desire to get it right but sometimes we are hard headed and try to work it out all by ourselves. The most important activity is to pray like David did. Let us get help through prayer as we plan out our daily activities

Today’s inspiring video is about how we all need the Lord. Remember, the most important activity is to begin this day with prayer and feel confident that whatever we ask will be answered in God’s timing: Lord, I Need You – Matt Maher.

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. - Matthew 7:8

Much More to Give

Written about in the post Victory Over Enemies, David experienced God’s greatness and when he did, he gave God praise. Let us also recall the blessings we have received and give Him praise.

If going through difficulty, receive the hope only God can give, and believe He is big enough to provide victory today. He has much more to give.

At the end of the day, be assured by this clear picture of joy. Look up at the sky on a clear night. Realize that He is the one who made all those stars; more stars than we can count and He can bless us with joys more numerous than the stars.

Here is today’s inspirational video to help spur us on to victory: Today is the Day – Lincoln Brewster.

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Nothing is Impossible with God

Many say that David wrote Psalm 8 soon after he killed Goliath. The post How Majestic is Your Name points this out.  I also wrote in this post about my trip to Austin a while back to a concert; about how I could keep up on reading blog posts with the technology of today.

Nothing is impossible with God and as ruler over the work of His hands; we can participate in innovation and create solutions to problems that we once thought impossible.

With new technology of today, we all have the ability to be innovative and creative. This day with God, let us stretch our thinking, dream big, and break old barriers. Here is today’s inspirational video. Enjoy! J : Me and God – Josh Turner.

For nothing is impossible with God. – Luke 1:37

The Application of Our Faith

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. - James 1:22

The post Prepare the Heart was about David going to God in order for justice to be carried out against his accusers. Studying about David and others in the Bible along with learning the principles found in God’s word prepares our heart and initiates the application of our faith to handle the challenges we face in this world.

Let us seek to do something today that brings glory to God and start by praying with a vision of what that looks like. With Jesus by our side, we can make it happen. Let us take inspiration from today’s video: Do Something – Matthew West.

Faith is the Weapon Needed to Fight Our Spiritual Enemies

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9

David faced many enemies and was in distress as written in the post “He is Faithful and Just” but prays with assurance because he knows that God would hear his prayer. David speaks with such assurance that his life would turn around because of his confession and his faith in God’s mercy.

David’s faith gives him an optimistic outlook for the future and the weapon needed to fight his spiritual enemies. This day with God, we too can look forward to a brighter future where every doubt or fear can be replaced with a deep abiding trust in God.

The Desire and the Power

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. - Philippians 2:13

In the post Go to Him in Prayer Early in the Morning, David was under distress and made this prayer written out in Psalm 5. David could go to God in confidence because of his close relationship to the ONE who is most powerful and has all the answers.

There are many challenges we face in life and it is best to go to God for instructions because He can make the instructions clear so we can follow with precision. He can give the exact thought or idea to try and also the desire to carry it out.

So if you are searching for a solution to some issue, start with God. Here is today’s inspirational video: Need You Now - Plumb.

Higher, Deeper, and Wider

God is big enough to produce something for everyone. He’s not limited and doesn’t have to divvy up small amounts. Let Him take you with Him today a little higher, deeper, and wider. When He does, share with others about your experience; the amazing feeling and how excited you are about your future with Him.

Many things can give you a lift today. Great memories you build throughout life will give you a lift, a sunny day can give you a lift, but the ultimate lift is knowing that the future is bright because of the reward God has for all that believe in His Son.

Enjoy today’s video: Take Me Higher – Lincoln Brewster.

This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalm 118:24

Grace and Truth of Christ Gets Us in Sync

We live in a very complicated world that can throw anyone into doubt but the grace and truth of Christ gets us in sync so we are in the right place at the right time. Right now, we are able to be with God because of His grace in sending Christ.

There is a benefit for those that discover the lessons of the Word, those that look forward to the rewarding promise of the future, and those that passionately follow the will of God. Here is today’s inspiring video to start our day with reinforced determination to take on the challenges: He Knows – Jeremy Camp.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. - James 1:5

Heart of a Champion

If we live by God’s Word, we are like a tree firmly planted by a stream that has plenty of water. We are always refreshed and daily produce fruit in season. In the post Delight and Meditate on the Word of God, the lesson is about daily studying and meditating on the Word of God to produce spiritual fruit that nourishes others.

The principles of the Word in our thoughts is like planting the seeds of faith, hope, and love in our hearts. We will then nourish our own Spirit but also yield fruit that nourishes others.

God will give us the upper hand by producing in us the heart of a champion. Here’s a video to inspire and apply our faith so we have the heart of a champion that nourishes not only ourselves but others: Give You Glory – Jeremy Camp.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. - Colossians 2:8

His Good, Pleasing, and Perfect Will

As written about in the post The Resurrection Makes a Difference in Our World Today, many have been positively moved because of the teachings of Jesus. These teachings let us know that all people have value in God’s eye; that we should give help for the poor, care for the sick, equal opportunities for all.

Let us make a difference in this world by helping others know about these teachings. Pray that we do our part so there is a brighter future where there is a new freedom that offers enthusiasm and purpose for all. What Jesus taught will set people free; bringing truth for you and for me; a truth that leads to victory.

God gives insight into how to play a part in a preferred future and gives plans to make a difference in society. Here is today’s video to inspire the thought that Jesus is the reason for every good thing that we enjoy today Every Good Thing – The Afters

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:2

Sharing Our Experiences Along The Journey

A lesson from the post He is with Us Along this Journey is that there are interesting and amazing events to witness as we walk with the Lord daily. May we all be excited to tell others about our experiences along this journey!

Keep looking for Christ. Each book you read; each movie/show you see; each conversation you have; each song you hear can have a lesson that God wants you to learn and in turn share with others.

Today’s video is about opening our eyes and seeing Christ at work around us: Jesus in Disguise – Brandon Heath.

Love Beyond Measure

In the post “The Third Day”, we are told that the women went to the tomb of Jesus on the third day after the crucifixion and found the stone rolled away from the tomb. They were told that Jesus had risen!

Our mood can always be lifted by the positive affirmation God gives us through His Son. Today, we are made aware that Jesus demonstrated love beyond measure and this inspires us to return this love unconditionally to others. Enjoy today’s video Love Take Me Over – Steven Curtis Chapman.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. - John 13:34

Inspired to Do Something

In the post “The Event and Its Extent” about the physical death of Jesus on the cross and the significance of this event, both natural and religious phenomena occur. The reaction of the people to this phenomena communicates to us their recognition that Jesus was who He said He was. We know today that this was just the beginning; for in three days He would arise victorious over death.

Let us be inspired today because of this victorious kingdom of God which has become reality. We are now blessed with this new helper called the Holy Spirit to solve our problems at work, at home, and wherever we are. God created each of us as His hands and feet to change the world. Be inspired by today’s video: Do Something – Matthew West.

Going Toward That Ultimate Reward

Life can be difficult as we struggle at times, make the wrong decisions, or when life just doesn’t turn out to be like we thought it would be. We sometimes forget about the ultimate reward God has for us.

As we go through life and get closer to the final destination day by day, there is always a brighter future to look forward to. Such was the case with the penitent criminal written about in the post Eternal Life in Paradise who was being crucified with Jesus on the cross. He knew that he was being punished justly but sought everlasting deliverance. He asks Jesus to remember him and was rewarded with eternal paradise (v 43).

Today’s video is about this final destination that brings joy and hope for those who can say, “It is well with my soul”: Finally Home - MercyMe.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him. – James 1:12

Be A Believer In The Redeemer

In the post Total Attention on the Mission, written about was that Pilate and Herod did not find a reason to crucify Jesus. Pilate did what was politically correct in his day and time. In order to keep his job as a politician, he took the easy way out by doing what the people wanted.

In present times, we face the same situations. The world wants to convince us that God is not who He says He is but as we go through each day; taking walks and feeling the fresh breeze hitting our face and hearing the sounds of night that sooths our soul, we know the world is telling a lie and the ONE who created the breeze and unique music of the night is telling us the truth.

As we go through life, things can get messy but God is there to help us pick up the messes. The Redeemer makes everything new and provides for our final victory. This day with God, celebrate with this inspiring video: The Redeemer – Sanctus Real.

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - Psalm 16:8

Leadership Is Not A Popularity Contest

Written about in the post The Trial of Jesus, we get a lesson in leadership. Jesus demonstrates leadership with poise, courage, and strength. On the other hand, Pilot and Herod demonstrated poor leadership skills. They couldn’t make a decision because they lacked the courage to stand up and do what was right.

With God, we can be assured of a promising future and this gives us confidence to face our challenges with confidence. We know that He is faithful. He is like a mountain; standing rock solid over time and protecting us in our time of need. We can take courage, for God is there for us. Today’s inspirational video highlights these thoughts: Whom Shall I Fear – Chris Tomlin.

The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? – Psalm 27:1

Firm Foundation Of Truth

In the post More Precious Than Anything Life Has To Offer, written about was how Jesus handled the situation of being arrested and going through the trials before being crucified. Peter caved during the hostilities and sometimes in life, we may not handle the challenges we face like we should. One thing we can be sure of is that Christ is reliable and He has promised that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins.

We live in a world of shifting sand but with Christ, we have a firm foundation. This day, there is freedom with Christ. A freedom that helps us live, give, and love. A freedom that will speak and teach; laying out a solid path that we can follow and show others how to follow. The inspirational video for to today is Solid As The Rock by Avalon. Enjoy!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us. - 1 John 1:9

Ideas To Deal With The Stuff In Life

Written about in the post “Overcoming the Pressures of Life” was how Jesus went through the pressures of life on earth by praying and submitted to the purpose for which God had sent Him which was to die for our sins. In the Garden of Gethsemane, sweat was falling from Him like drops of blood to the ground. We may not face this type of pressure but we face stuff in life that can get to us. Maybe it’s trying to meet impossible deadlines at work, maybe it’s a health issue, or a relationship that’s not working out.

What can we do to deal with these challenges we face? Some ideas might include keeping positive, praying, planning out each step, and taking action with faith that God will provide the resources needed to get through anything. Another idea might be to set out each day to memorize scripture and try to internalize them so they can be used in time of need. With the Word of God internalized, we have more poise in stressful situations like talking in front of an audience or taking an exam or going through a medical procedure.

Each day has its challenges and that’s why we want to seek God first thing to help us take on these challenge the best we can. Today’s video is about this stuff of life: how God can use these moments to help us appreciate that maybe our stuff is not as bad as we think and we can step ahead with faith: This is the Stuff – Francesca Battistelli.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. - 2 Corinthians 12:10

Faith in God’s Way

Some things in life are hard to figure out. In the post Servant Leader, I wrote that Jesus teaches about the servant type of leadership during His last meal with the disciples. Faith is a great quality when leading others as a parent, teacher, boss, or any other leader.  Through reading the Bible, experiences of life, and sharing with others, our faith grows stronger. It is a valued possession that allows us to accomplish much more in life.

Our faith comes from high places where God is and connects to us. The invisible qualities of faith can’t be overtaken; even at death, these qualities are valued possessions so go, taste and see the goodness of God.

Remember that the life we are living on earth is just the beginning and it passes in a blink of an eye. Watch this video and be inspired by the story made to music of a daughter who loses her Dad. It emphasizes the fact that death is just the beginning and we will see our lost loved ones in due time: Glorious Unfolding – Steven Curtis Chapman.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. - Colossians 2:6-7

The Blessing of the Holy Spirit

Times are not always easy and that’s when prayer is useful to find out how to step ahead. As written about in the post The Vision of the Mission, Christ death on the cross has become the sacrifice to take the place of the sacrifice written about in Exodus 12 when the Lord passes over each house that had sacrificed a lamb.

Christ’s physical body is no longer on earth but His Spirit counsels at all times to help us. This video is about this blessing we have in the Holy Spirit:  Blessings – Laura Story.

But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you: but if I go away, I will send Him to you. - John 16:7

The Word is More Precious than Gold

Like the post, “Be on Guard and Focus on Christ” highlights, it is important to pay attention to the lessons of nature and what is going on around us. But most of all, we should store the Word in our heart because it is more precious than gold. The Word never passes away like things on earth. Let us not get trapped in the negatives of this world but guard our hearts with the Word.

I remember one time seeing a rainbow as I drove to work. It was an amazing rainbow and seeing this put my attention on how amazing God is. If we focus on Him throughout our day, we are able to make it through anything. Do this each day and at the end of the rainbow of life, there is a pot of gold. Those who give up what’s in the world and follow Christ receive eternal riches in the kingdom of God.

He will bring us back to Him just like this video points out: Here is Our King – David Crowder Band.

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. - Hosea 6:3

Flourish with Hope

Explained in the post “The Hope that Christ Gives”, there will be difficult times but we should never get down. Remember that the resistance only makes us stronger. There is resistance when we exercise to build up our muscles. There is resistance of the wind that helps an airplane to be lifted high in the sky and travel to faraway places. What we go through in life, only makes us stronger on the other side.

God will provide the resources needed to get through anything. Use His Word to help in difficult times. Examine your hopes and dreams and let God take them to a level that you never dreamed of. This day with God will be amazing because His light will illuminate even greater in dark times. Take inspiration from this video: Hope in Front of Me – Danny Gokey.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope! - Romans 15:13

Opportunities to Explain

As we step ahead on the path of our journey, there will be those who will try to put roadblocks in our way. Just like the post Stepping Ahead of Roadblocks when The Sadducees asked Jesus a question to try and show discrepancies in His teachings, there will be non-believers that we will come up against. These situations give us an opportunity to explain the soundness and victory found in the Word.

This day with You Father, help us to step ahead by taking in the Word to fortify us. Help us to remain optimistic because with You, we are highly favored. Amen!

A little bit of faith goes a long way and can change those who don’t believe. Here’s a video to inspire our day: Something in the Water – Carrie Underwood.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. - Colossians 2:8

Post for Next day Great Attributes of Christianity

In the post The Strategy to Trap Jesus, The answer Jesus gave to the question raised by the Pharisee spies demonstrated that Christianity is broad-minded. It is clear from the response of Jesus that Christianity respects the state and can work alongside it.

Christianity celebrates our differences. God has made us all for a purpose and we need to understand that our differences are really our strength. Not only are we all different in how we think, but also in our physical attributes.

God has made us all for a purpose and we need to celebrate our differences. Here is an interesting fact about our physical differences: according to Guinness World Records, the tallest man living is 8 ft. 3 inches. The shortest man living is 2 feet tall. A startling comparison is that if humans varied as much in height as dogs do, the smallest person would be 2 feet tall and the tallest person would stand 31 feet tall!

Human relationships are made complicated by our differences but this diversity actually makes us stronger. One great aspect of marriage is that a husband has certain attributes that help in a marriage and a wife has certain attributes. Each are united as one and offer something positive to the relationship.

Christianity is not only broad-minded in how people interact between their religion and the state, it is also perfect for human relationships. Most of all, Christianity is absolutely perfect in our relationship to God because it provides a way to return to Him. As this video points out, Christianity is a friend of sinners: Jesus, Friend of Sinners – Casting Crowns.

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. - Romans 15:7
